S. Katzman Produce is one of the larger operators in the Hunts Point Market,
with operations on Row A, Row B, and Row D.
We have a total of 225,000 square feet of refrigerated cold storage facilities,
separated into various climate controlled environments. This allows us to maintain
each product at its ideal temperature as well as maintain a separation between
non-compatible produce types. Our cold storage is equipped with temperature
alarms, which notify us in real time of any variance to the temperature range.
We have a state of the art computer and inventory system, insuring proper
rotation of stock at all times. In terms of food safety, each of our shipping,
receiving and cooling areas are wired with 24 hour Closed Circuit TV monitoring.
Katzman has a refrigerated fleet of 8 straight trucks and 6 tractor
trailers with lift gate services. With a total of 60 truck bays, we efficiently
receive and ship our produce without delay.
